I was discharged by a Dermatologist a while ago as they did not want to consider the other awful symptoms. I have had a flare for seven months and have been pushed around by opthalmologists. I have been rejected by the Haematology dept. at a London Hospital, stating they do not know about Sweets Syndrome. Now next Saturday I have booked an appoi tment with a Haematologist at a private Hospital . The local Hospital said they will maybe contact me in March and put me on the list waiting for an appointment. I am a disabled pensioner with no assests and cannot afford private treatment. I am sure other sufferers have a bad time also but I wanted to air this, as we need help. I wanted to highlight my emotions, I feel upset, broken, worthless and rejected.

Hi Faith12,
So sorry to hear that this has happened. Dr. Tanya Basu (dermatologist) at King's College Hospital, London (NHS) has experience of treating Sweet's syndrome. KCH's haematology department is also familiar with SS.

What are your SS symptoms? Are they symptoms that need to be managed by someone other than a dermatologist. Has your SS developed secondary to another condition?
