A LADY IN TIVERTON, DEVON, UK, WAS MISDIAGNOSED WITH LEUKAEMIA CUTIS/ACUTE MYELOID LEUKAEMIA CUTIS AND GIVEN INTENSIVE CHEMOTHERAPY, WHEN IN FACT, SHE HAD SWEET'S SYNDROME.

"A mum-of-two who was wrongly diagnosed with cancer and underwent gruelling treatment in the belief it would cure her has told how her ordeal has left her with post-traumatic stress disorder, depressing and reoccurring nightmares.

Leanne Cockayne, of Tiverton, had developed health problems following the birth of her first child which led her to being diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia...

She recalled: "I was told it was AML cutis which starts in the skin and then goes to the bone marrow. Usually it hits true bone marrow within six to seven months of appearing and if it does the prognosis is terminal."" devonlive.com/news/devon-ne...
