I have had three sets of bloods for ANA as doctor wouldn't work on just one set and each time this is what they have read

ANA 1: 1600

DNA binding autoantibodies 1 IU/ml <9

Serum ANA pattern positive homogeneous pattern

I have seen a rheumatologist twice who ran the tests again with same results and has told me there is nothing to worry about you just have a bit of inflammation, I have the rash as far as I can tell the bloods the painful swollen joints headaches rash in sun, chronic fatigue etc he has just ignored it all and told me to carry on taking naproxen if that helps and has Told me he doesn't need to see me again . If anyone could explain to me the test results especially the DNA binding I would feel a bit more confident to return back to my doctor any advice would be gratefully recieved thank you in advance

If you could ask a lupus researcher one question what would it be?

I will ask the researchers some questions from here and post the answers later :o)
