Mycophenolate and alcohol

What is the recommended level of alcohol (wine) allowed when taking Mycophenolate.

To start with I stopped completely but now five weeks in I'd like to have the odd glass.

Is this safe ?

It is safe to drink alcohol in moderation (the odd glass is ok) whilst taking Mycophenolate Mofetil, but any more could exacerbate existing liver problems. It would also be wise to occasionally have liver enzyme levels checked along with routine bloods to make sure that they remain in the normal range.

I have very recently been started on this too and I asked my consultants about alcohol as this medication comes with some heavy warnings on alot of things, and like Angie mentioned below they said a glass will be ok once I'm a bit further into it but that is about all the body will tolerate while taking this on your organs.
