Hello, I have just been diagnosed with neurocardiogenic syncope, I am utterly frustrated by the condition as it causes all weird symptoms, I cant stand for too long or I'll get awful nausea, sweats and can swoon then, I get it if I get over heated, if im stressed or tired and just tonight after my dinner I fainted at the table, I have episodes of nausea and sweating daily and being in the menopause does not help my state one bit. Does anyone get down over this whole thing, its a pain constantly feeling like this and so tiring too. I think my case is related to an adrenal problem I have.

Have u seen a cardiologist for advice/support/medication? It's a horrible condition. My daughter suffers. X
Hello Clare. Thank you for your reply, I haven't been to see a cardiologist for my condition do you think it might help, it was a geriatrition who specialises in falls and blackouts, I feel it is getting worse as I now can have several episodes a day if I forget not to kneel down, or eat heavy meals or stand too long, it's wearing me down but I know that with life adjustments it should help. Is your daughter getting good treatment
I'm speaking on behalf of a 20 year old here, but for her it was well worth being referred to a cardiologist. However it must be a cardiologist who has knowledge of syncope. Have you looked at the STARS website for more info on the condition? They can also give you details of syncope cardiologists local to you. Generally advice seems to be drinking 3 litres water/isotonic drinks per day and high salt. Daughter took midodrine as well when she was at her worst. Of course everybody is different. Good luck with everything. We know it can totally mess up your life. Xx
She's lucky to have such a caring mum x
Keeping hydrated, rested, cool and avoid stressful situations that tend to trigger you has helped me. I am a 59 year old female who has had seizures or syncope all my life. Our three daughters have all inherited it. We don’t take meds, just find out what works for us and drink masses of water, eat salty food and rest whenever needed.
Best of luck!
