Hello, I'm a 19 year old college student. I had to take a gap year because my syncope has gotten so severe. When I'm in any type of stressful situation (even if I don't necessarily feel stressed) I can get dizzy. It got so bad that I am getting dizzy 3-5 times a day and passing out about 2 times a week because I can't catch it. Thus, I came back home for the year. However, my parents and I don't want me to just sit on my butt the whole year. So, I need to find a job. In the past, I've been a nanny and I really love doing it but I'm sick so much that I fear it is just not safe enough. I need to find a simple job with little physical activity that is lenient on me missing days. I never ever miss unless I'm too sick and don't feel safe driving but as I said, this is happening more often than it's not. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi Nezomi, I can't really help but didn't want to read and run. My daughter's very much in the same situation. She's studying part time now, but any job she takes on doesn't last for long because of her syncope and associated health issues. She currently babysits and helps out at a children's drama school for 3 hours on a Saturday morning taking payments and whatever else they ask. Good luck with finding something.
