Keeping a log of events??

For the first time ever I've been given 12months until my next review (for NCS).

I'm unsure what to do if I have any further syncope or near syncope between now and then. Usually it's every 3 months I go back and tell my cardiologist how I've been.

Should I make an appointment or contact my consultant if/when I pass out next, or just make a note of each incident ready for my next review?

I'm unsure of what to do!

Unless you have been told otherwise, normally there is no reason to contact your consultant following every attack and if you were concerned then you should call your GP first of all. Certainly there is no reason not to keep a note of the attacks and the triggers but I suspect your consultant feels that your NCS is under control and he is confident that you are able to manage it.

I am always here if you are particularly concerned, however, and I will do my best to advise. jenni@stars.org.uk
