Well this week is turning out to be one of the most stressful on my lifetime. As a result I now have blue lips, wonder how long this will last!! Hoping to be able to sleep tonight & that may help. Fingers crossed x

That sounds really bad frostyblack, I wish there was something I could say that would help. I hope that you get some good sleep tonight. Will be thinking of you.

If you get that cold it can take hours to reverse the effect.

The best thing is preventative action.

Eat regularly and keep at least one room warm that you can retreat to. These are the essentials. All the rest is window dressing.

Running warm water on your pulse points can help to warm you up, just as running cold water on your pulse points can cool you down.

If you are really cold sitting in a warm bath can help. But you must eat regularly as well to allow the heat to be generated internally.

I noticed from one of your other posts that you had an ulcer. They are often related to scleroderma which has its own arsenal of goodies to throw at you.

It sounds as though you are beyond the expertise of your GP alone.

Thanks barbj slightly better nights sleep. But long couple of days ahead!

Overnighthearingloss the problem is I don't feel that cold, lack of sleep always makes me cold & I've not had much if that this week. I'm trying to eat but feel so sick I can't eat much unfortunately till the stressful situation has been resolved dont think there's much I can do. Ive always had bad circulation (even before i developed raynaulds) I've increased my tablets back to 3/day to see if that helps any. Lip not quiet so blue this morning so hope it doesn't get any worse.

HI frostyblack and everyone !

In the initial years of my scleroderma and raynuads diagnosis I had quite a lot of stress, which my diagnosis loved !

I now 'dont do' stress as I dont want to feel how I used to feel with stress in my life - tighter skin; couldnt eat due to the pains in my stomach etc....

Do you meditate or use mind awareness techniques ? 20 mins twice a day has definitely helped me deal with the curve balls, and arsenal of goodies as overnighthearing loss so aptly describes, this diagnosis throws at you ! check out David Ji, Deborah King, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay - their work guided me to find what suits me and is working for me ! I hope it helps you also :) x
