Who told you that you have Raynaud's? Is it a definite diagnosis. Have you been referred to a rheumatologist? If not maybe you should because if you definitely know what you have it's easier to know what to do.

You sound very cold to me which you get if you have Raynaud's. Keep well warm with several layers of clothes. Wear a hat over your ears. Wear gloves, warm socks. Have hot drinks without caffeine (it restricts the blood vessels and you need things that will improve your circulation particularly to your extremities). I have started having cup a soup a couple of times a day it's warmer than tea.

You may need medication to improve your circulation. Nifedipine is the drug of choice though some people are not comfortable with it. Fortunately for me I can tolerate it.

Good luck.

Quivery or shivery?

Raynauds would make you shivery if your body temperature drops.

Actually, Raynaud's isn't a definite diagnosis because there's no formal diagnosis, just a set of systems to verify some, not all of the symptoms. (Me being pedantic).

If your hands are cold and you feel that your fingertips/toes are significantly colder than your hands/feet respectively then you may have raynauds. Any numbness or marked colour change can also indicate raynauds but there's no way to prove it.

If your hands are cold and painful, yes its a symptom of Raynauds, though conversely if they are hot can also be a symptom of Raynauds after recovery from an attack. Raynauds tends to be very localised, according to my doctor so the tips of the fingers only. (though I dispute this based on the fact that the colour change for me has gone all the way up my arms before now).

Zenabb is right about the caffeine, although the the amount of caffeine in tea...is really not enough to do anything so feel free to continue drinking tea without the need to go for decaf.

I wake up every mornin with out fail in utter agony. My full arm is just so numb but heavy and painful. 1st thing I do when I open my eyes is get my nifedipine then a hot chocolate. Try to keep ad warm as I can. Have disposible hand warmers if I go out any where or if I just can't get warm indoors. Sum days my finger tips R that numb I wrap the warmers around them.
