Basically means anti centromere antibody (part of the anti nuclear antibody family) which tends to be found in those people who have limited Scleroderma. 1//1000 is how much the sample was diluted by to still get a positive reading.Normal readings are 1/40 or less. Hope this helps.

Thank you this does help. So it's not a diagnosis more of a test result?

Its a blood test result which helps a rheumatologist identify a diagnosis. It is an autoimmune profile. Some people are positive for this and never develop symptoms others do. Is it your test result and do you have symptoms of limited Scleroderma ie CREST? Raynauds is often the first symptom.

yes it is. i'm not sure what the symptoms are or even what scleroderma is :/

Well you should ask your rheumatologist (assuming you have one) too keep an eye on it. For me it started with raynauds and a gangrenous ulcer. This followed slowly by reflux and now i have most of the Scleroderma (limited) symptoms. Your autoimmune profile suggests Scleroderma, however as i said hopefully you wont develop any further symptoms, but you defo should take note of any changes in your health.

Not what you're looking for?
