I did a complete blood work up because I lost weight and have stomach issues with the scleroderma. Also did pelvic ultrasound and stool tesrlt. My blood work was pretty good except for rhe CA125 test marker which am elevated at 55. Got a call from the doctors office by a clinician assistant to say that test is elevated and is a marker for ovarian cancer but all the other tests said no cancer at all. Ultrasound showed my ovaries and everything is normal clean no masses cysts nothing. Everything is good. Bowel screening is good no cancer nothing.... now she said O wpuld have to do over the test in 8 weeks. I asked her if having scleroderma could have caused an impact as I am dealing with digestion and also that I read about having menstrustion while you do the test can show elevsted levels she didnt know what to say just that possibly but she didnt sounded as though she knew much about scleroderma and its effdcts. Has anyone ever had this test done and had elevated levels. I am crying and thinking about it ever since I heard. I am trying to be positive and strong.

I have had raised levels at times but nothing's come of it. My gynaecologist told me that IBS can cause raised levels. I know it's really hard, but try not to worry. It's only a "marker" - a flag to them to investigate - it's not proof you have cancer.Big hugs because I know it's a worry on top of everything else you are dealing with. Xx
Thank you so much for this. I am glad that you are able to share this experience with me. I spike with the doctor yesyerday and he confirmed what you are saying and since they did so many tests and scans which all came up clear they are going to just watch it and believed it is probably raised from the autoimmune disorder. I was able to sleep properly in 2 days. So thankful right now.
I am a mom of 2 children and one has autism with intellectual disabilities, communication disorders and sensory processing disorder as well. So you are right I do have alot going on😊.
Hi. I don’t have this experience but have a couple of autoimmune friends who have had this test show positive repeatedly but no evidence of ovarian or other cancers found ever. One actually believes it’s her own disease activity marker for her Lupus now. Hope this consoles you because your tests have clearly been extensive and nothing’s shown so I’d say to stop worrying and focus on what you are already having to cope with x
Thank you so much for this. I have decided to let it rest and focus on what I have already. I am trying to get some rest as I had a couple of nights not sleeping well. The doctor also believe that it is the autoimmune that has caused a change in marler level.
