Yes I lived just outside bristol until Feb 2020 and saw Dr Gunawardena over 8 years and he was brilliant, so helpful, he really knows his stuff! He would always do what he could for me. I do highly recommend seeing him, I never felt like I was wasting his time and I’d he couldn’t help, he’d refer me on to another dept who could do something, he’s really good!

I last saw him in feb and he referred me onto Worcester as am now living in Malvern but they can’t see me until after the pandemic so I’m kinda in limbo which is frustrating!

Have you been seen at bristol yet?

That's really good to know. Thank you. I live near Cheltenham and my NHS appointment has been put back to next year. However, I am seeing Dr. Gunawardena privately for an initial and follow up appointment. I have lots of questions and want to see someone who has specialist knowledge.

I don’t blame you going private...dr Gunawardena has incredibly knowledge so I’m sure he’ll be worth seeing!

Are you a member of the Worcestershire local support group?

No I’m not, I didn’t know there was a Worcestershire support group!

Go to Local support groups on SRUK website. Shirley runs the Worcestershire group and lives in Pershore. I joined via the email on the website and Shirley phoned me.
