Life is a terminal condition.

Until you stop breathing.

No seriously. Take any diagnosis as a wake up call to take the best possible care of yourself and hopefully you will outlast many others.

Death doesn't phase me.

Hello Julie Alice

I have scleroderma- diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis, for the past 5 years. Before that I fractured my spine - I have a lump of metal in my back and before that breast cancer.

I could have died each time. BUT I thank God I am still alive. Everyday is a plus. I understand that your condition might kill you but that it may not.

I understand your fear of death - I believe many have this fear. I do but there is nothing I can do about that one. Have you spoken to your doctor. I know anxiety and depression play a large part in scleroderma.

Please try and be positive and don't spoil your life with this fear.

Take care.
