Ssc and vomiting

I have today vomited last night's undigested dinner (apologies to anyone squeamish). Is this likely to be related to my scc? I'm so dehydrated struggling to keep in water this morning

After being diagnosed with CREST at 35, I am now 65 with full blown systemic scleroderma and now have pulmonary hypertension. I’m now nauseous 24/7 and have terrible heartburn 24/7 also. I use cannabis edibles for the nausea and it works well. Better than any pill. My stomach emptying is slow as well.

Ask doc about Gerd the pills help with that for heartburn. I'mean on omeprazole and ranitidine. I can'tell tolerate the medication for my pulmonary hypertension due to my severe liver damage.

hi Sylviaherring, I used to feel nauseous all the time but now I take Lanzoprazole (15mg), a half an hour before my breakfast every morning, and that seems to do the trick, I have to add that when I started taking it, it took a few days to start working.

If it was many hours after eating you might consider gastroparesis- I take domperidone x

I’ve had two stomach emptying tests and they both were normal. No gastric paresis. They have no Idea why I’m nauseous all the time with horrible heartburn. I use aluminum hydroxide gel by Rugby without magnesium for the heartburn. It’s over the counter and helps a lot. You do have to have the pharmacist order it for you, though.

Hi there I to wake up vomiting at night my rheumatologist told me to elevate my headband about 5 or6 inches because I have had stomach emptying problems the top of my stomach doesn’t close like it should so when I lay down sometimes I wake up coughing really bad and vomiting. I eat my supper early I try to always eat light and before 6 o’clock. I also take nexium and carafate and also amitriptyline at night before I go to bed because my stomach would hurt so bad it helps me but sometimes even if I only drink water during the night because my mouth gets dry I will vomit up the water. But it’s not as often since I eat early and take these meds. I also have a u shaped body pillow I lay in the middle and but still use my regular pillows but it helps me be slanted when I lay down.
