What kind of work do you do with Raynauds? Right now I am on disability and make about 700 us dollars.

I do get some supplemental so I average about 200 for food a month. It doesnt go as far as I like because I am gluten free. (The bright side to all of this is that I have lost a lot of weight because I have to make things by scratch, awesome).

My budget is so tight that if I buy myself anything extra like cosmetic supplies or hair cut it puts me out. Last month was my birthday and not having anything extra to have fun with or buy something for me made me break down and cry. (I mean come on turning 46 is hard enough!!)

I have raynauds for about 20 years and so its making the quick under my index finger to have some kind of callous tender point. My raynaud's doea respond somewhat to medicine , I still get episodes but pain is severely reduced. I am soooo stressed about being extremely poor..I can't find a job that I can do that I wont worry about losing because I only have experience cashiering , retail or call center.

I could find a part time (i have been looking for a long time)job to earn up to 1000 (except they will take 200 dollars away). I was hoping to one day get off disability to work as an accountant. I think that this is doable if I use voice recognition if I need to or perhaps use the USB heated gloves. However, what if I get worse and I have to get hold up with healing for hand or foot ulcers and lose my job .Could I get disability again?

I apologize for this question post being long and somewhat mumbling but I have had a hard day and am to fatigued to care about trying to edit it. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Do you have primary raynauds?

It seems to me that you need to be occupied. You sound depressed. You do not say why you have been on benefit for so long. What is wrong with you apart from Raynaud's? How has Raynaud's affected you? Can you go on a course to be qualified and earn more money. Can you get some counselling? I suggest that you see your doctor and explain your situation.

It could be an idea to talk to your Dr/GP about your 'mood' as there is a great deal of help out there for Depression/Stress/Anxiety these days & that could be a good start point.

Do you have a local Job Centre? I know our local Job Centre has courses to help people find work (funded training courses, help completing a C.V, I.T. classes....) which could be another way into finding your next job.

Good day to you. It sounds as if you do not live in the UK and I am not familiar with your benefit system. However it sounds as if you have severe case of Raynaud's and all that that involves. I have quite a few medical conditions as well as Raynaud's so work for me is not an option. It is hard to manage on welfare but you don't sound well enough to work. You sound tired and worn down. Why not speak with your doctor if you are feeling depressed and see what he/she can do to help. Have you got any family support? I can only hope you get all the support you obviously need and wish you all the best for the future.

Hi There danacetz: Your message is truly heart-felt. I believe many of us who are on disability have felt the limitations greatly. As previous answers to your questions suggest, I agree also; if you've not informed your doctor, please do and right away on how you are feeling, emphasize the depression you are experiencing and the reasons. You may wish you obtain direction from your local library - they can be very informative and lend direction to various organizations. You didn't mention having family members, close and supportive friends - and I am curious as to whether you have an immediate support system. I believe in the power of prayer, and already, I am certainly praying for your plights to be conquered and blessings will head your way abundantly and through the love and care of those in your immediate area especially. Try to continue to take care; breakthroughs and miracles are on their way, and very soon.

Thanks its just feeling very limited with finances its very frustrating. I think anyone in my situation would probably be depressed too. I have a overly dependent mother and 2 children and my honey who loves me.
