17 years ago today we said our final farewell to our beautiful mother, best friend, devoted wife and grandmother Karen Clifford (the KC in SKCIN) following her courageous battle to melanoma.
The devastation caused by her loss, made us determined to ensure her untimely death was not in vain. We wanted to prevent this from happening to other families by raising the profile of skin cancer and promoting the importance of prevention and early detection to save lives.
Her bravery, courage, kindness and devotion fuels us every day as she remains the inspiration behind our continued dedication to this cause.
