I have Sjogren's Syndrome and Graves Disease about 10 days ago I got a little bit of a sore throat but this passed quite quickly. About 3 days later I noticed glands under my jaw were inflamed and over the coming days this swelling spread around my face including causing the swelling of the skin above my eyes so that I couldn't see my eyelids when I looked in the mirror. I've always had rather sunken, baggy eyes but they became very puffy. My vision was not affected and I was in no pain however I did become extremely tired (I was unable to make it up the two flights of stairs to our apartment, a walk I usually do multiple times per day)
A week on from this my energy has increased and much of the swelling has gone down but I am still definitely swollen.
Does anyone know whether this is Sjogren's or Graves? I don't think it was an allergic reaction to anything.

I'm not a doctor but this sounds like an acute situation. But my face has swollen, especially around the jaw, from Sjogrens. I have checked out medical sites and they show photos of people who have had it for a long time and they do get swollen faces. The swelling seems worse at different times and then improves but I definitely look different from a few years ago.
