Into week 2 of gastric band. The only this i can digest are anything that dissolves on my tongue and watery textured drinks and broths.

Hi ronel

Congrats on taking that step to get it done. That is an amazing amount of weight to loose. I know someone who had gastric banding done and she has kept the weight off for 3 years. I know with all the meds I am on I have gone from 65kgs to 107kgs. I have never weighed this much and it is very depressing. I think I may have consider this an option. Was it expensive and have there been any unwanted side effects?

Cheers

Hi there, thanks for that Jenny, good to here. The worst side effect is the nausea. For me, i love my coffee, so first thing next morning, i asked for a coffee took mouthfull, and as fast as it went down, it came up. It takes about a week to get adjusted with having it an allowing yrself tiny, tiny sips.
