How do you find products?

Hi folks, I am new here. I need a little support dealing with urinary incontinence. Not for myself, but I live with two loved ones who are struggling. My husband has had four prostate surgeries that have left him with a constant drip and occasional dam bursts. He has to change clothes several times a day in spite of pads. My mom wears depends that don’t contain the wetness. Both of them have large wet spots on their clothes every day. The store bought pads are not adequate. I see many references to try different products. Where do you find these? Please help.

My husband wore tena man level 2 and 3 guards and pants active after he had his prostate done, they worked well for him, he found being unable to pee with any force quite debilitating so would wear the pants whenever he was out, and would often layer a few guards inside a pair of the pants if he was going to the pub and knew there would be high levels of dribbling.That way he could take the wet pad out and have a dry one under it ready to go.

Most online retailers are happy to send you samples to try at home to find the product that fits well and absorbs well. Fit and absorption levels vary greatly, I have found. I have worked with my father, mother and husband for different products for their different needs. Continence Central (continencecentral.org) is a resource for the USA that has many different online retailers. Some of the retailers are outside the USA but sell and ship there. And just about all of them are happy to provide samples. Over the years, and with my different loved ones, we have found success with several brands and styles - all depending on the needs at that moment in time. So over time you may also need to change a style or brand or absorbency. And each time, I have tried samples and found something that worked. I hope this helps!

There are a number of incontinence supply sites online. Northshore, xpmedical, llmedical are excellent resources. They carry everything from pads, pull ups, adult diapers, bed protection, etc. They are also very helpful giving advice as to what is the best product for your needs. Go online, search for incontinent supplies or adult diapers, and you will find many companies that deal with incontinence. Good luck.

My most successful arrangement has been Abena Abri-form (level 4) during the daytime and one of the disposables from Incontrol Diapers at night. I try for 3 total changes per day.

try HDIS.com. they have a sample pack with several brands you can try and get a better idea of what to order. I will admit though, you may find better prices at other venders like Northshore but a sample of let's say an Abena is the same regardless of the vender.

I can totally relate to what you going through after I took care or of my mom, I Few ideas to help out his mom or hubby on state Medicaid or is he a Veteran? if they are one of those they will pay for pads and diapers. When you say mom is in a depends is that a pullup or a tape of on brief. I would look at tena pull-ups or tranquility products as far as hubby the name if guards don't work switch to pullups or briefs also look for dignity Dignity Stackables Pad they go in pullups or briefs for added absorbency
