My bladder and sleep issues have gotten worse, I only get bought 3-4 hours of sleep at night. As for my bladder issues I been having more accidents and going through more diapers. I am trying to get social security disability. I going through the appeal right now I hopeing that I get it. I guess you can say that every thing is about the same, I wish that Medicaid would let me get the diapers I want. I have to deal with okay diapers that I get from Medicaid. My anxiety is so so because me wearing diapers I still am question about it and the rest of my prombles to. I just want to let all know how I am doing.

I surely hope you will get SS disability. I know that it's tough being able to only get whatever Medicaid offers in your state in the way diapers and accessories. The products are not usually great, and so you often need to use more of them than if you had a higher quality product.

Thanks for sharing with us!

I’m glad to hear that you are able to communicate somewhat with the people here. If Medicaid is not providing you with better products you may need to begin going up the food chain of those responsible for making their decisions about adult diapers and supplies. You can bet that someone, somewhere in the employee ranks there is a human who is making decisions about the care products you and others are supplied. Medicaid gets reimbursed by our Federal Government. Your state where you reside is NOT paying a dime or less for the products you require and can’t afford to pay out of pocket. You might.have a person who works for your state such as an ombudsman who acts as an advisor to help state citizens. Perhaps you could contact your Governor’s office to ask for help. I think it is appalling that you are expected to use adult supplies that are NOT working for you! You are a person, you need help, you have needs and you have your dignity everyone needs to recognize and respect you are a person with medical issues and are being ignored if you have lodged complaints that went nowhere! Please fight for your rights for effective products for your needs. I would be really nice BUT firm with these government employees paid for their work with PUBLIC FUNDS. Don’t get upset or display anger or disrespect towards the people you will be dealing with. If the person or people you deal with can’t or won’t help you, ask politely to speak to a supervisor. And keep going up that chain of command until your needs are met. It is probably ILLEGAL for suppliers of adult care supplies to be only providing products to people such as you that are NOT ACCEPTABLE for anyone who receives supplies from contractors who are not providing products that work and are acceptable. These inferior products are NOT working for you and therefore are not working for others in your situations. You have the right to dignified care! NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise! Be nice, be polite and be firm. If I were you I’d also be complaining to your state senators and representatives. AND KEEP METICULOUS RECORDS OF YOUR WORK, GET NAMES IF WHO YOU TALK WITH, AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RECORDS OF THE DATES AND CLOCK TIMES YOU MADE CONTACT WITH EVERYONE YOU DEAL WITH.

Please keep us up to date with your progress. At times like these you must make public employees DO THEIR JOBS!
