A better level of understanding from others, especially health care professionals.

Totally agree ... My husband doses himself up all the time .. And only goes to A&E when really really bad as they are not quick to give him drugs .. Nearly cost him his life a few years back ..

Community awareness that Sickle Cell is 'everybody's business'

I am not quite sure what "eradication" of sickle cell entails, but as we know there are still many things that need to be done in order to find a feasible, non invasive and non life threatening cure for sickle cell disorders.

Fayona and mlf definitely i could say that the lack of awareness is one thing that causes alot of problems for individuals and families affected by sickle cell. If less people were ignorant to the disorders i think that would greatly help people who have to live with the disorder
