Don't diagnose yourself. See a doctor. You may be worrying for no reason.Let me know what happened.

simply google a statement like THE ROLE OF SORGHUM AND MILLET IN SICKLE CELL MANAGEMENT and u will have access to millions of websites which u can go further to read lots of stuff on it. back here in africa and nigeria millet and sorghum are our staple foods so some people who have it do not even know that they have the sickle cell disease at all bcos the regular intake of the food has masked the sickle cell symptoms in their lives. but evidence shows that it is in the rural areas and villages that such foods are prevalent and are used as daily foods. when such natives however, migrate to the cities and urban areas and begin to eat other foods like rice, bread, buiscuits, milk, pasta, etc etc then the symptoms of sickle cell disease gradually begin to take over the health of victims till they return to eating native foods sorghum and millet and plantains and yams and lots of leafy vegetables. the good thing is that since the millet and sorghum are grains it is possible to grind them into flour and use it for a variety of uncountable dishes for consumption and benefits.........if u still have problems with googling on the THE ROLE OF SORGHUM AND MILLET IN SICKLE CELL MANAGEMENT then simply contact me again for specific websites . when you start eating this food mention above you will start adding weight. good luck .

This is excellent information. Here in the US there are what I call cultural stores and markets. I know of one such store that sells bread made out of millet.

I will tell my daughter about the yams and sorgum.
