Hi, I was diagnosed as Stage 1B Grade 1 - ER/PR+ > 95%. I had the hysterectomy, bilateral oophorectomy etc.... in July. And, i just completed three treatments of brachy therapy. My doctor put me on letrozole for one year. Thoughts?

That's a common way to try to prevent recurrence. Often, an aromatase inhibitor is given after a recurrence. Your cancer is a grade 1, so one year seems to make sense. Recurrences usually happen within the first 3 years of diagnosis, so you can ask your doctor if that would be true for you since you have a low grade cancer.

I was put on anastrozole after my 1st recurrence, and am still taking it seven years later. It's another ai. The only thing I noticed was a bit more hip pain from walking.

Best wishes to you.
