Do you have an ER+ and/or PR+ endometrial/uterine cancer? How is being treated and monitored after treatment? Have you had recurrences? How is that being treated and monitored?

Ok, I'll get the ball rolling... I have er+ pr+ her2 - well - managed endometrial cancer with two recurrences and in remission for the past 5 + years. I am being treated with an aromatase inhibitor and Ibrance. I started out at the highest dose (125 mg) and because I had too many side effects, at three years, my dose was lowered to 100 mg. The biggest side effects are my wbc blood counts, the rbc blood counts seem to be on the low side, but pretty good.

Anybody on a similar regimen? It is mostly used in metastatic breast cancer and ovarian cancer patients, but it is being used by uterine cancer patients in Europe.

Estrogen and its relationship to endometrial cancer webinar hosted by SHARE was very informative. The endometrial cancer I was diagnosed with 10 years ago is estrogen related (er+pr+) at the time I didn't know very much about it. During initial diagnosis, it just sounded like a bunch of letters to me and very concerning. Although I'm not on a regimen, I learned that there are more treatment options available to treat my particular cancer should I recur or as maintenance therapy.

Congratulations Merma on being 5 years in remission! That's very inspiring to know!
