Cyst on ovary

Hi everyone I have just joined this site hope to get some help. I had a polyp removed from my uterus as I was having some post menopausal bleeding and it was clear but I also had an ultrasound which shows a large cyst on my ovary I was rather shocked as I don’t really have any symptoms I’ve had blood taken for tests and dr. wants to do a mri I’m really worried I have cancer how long will I have to wait for blood test results can anyone tell me? Any help would be appreciated thank you.

An ultrasound in 2001 for prolapsed uterus revealed an ovarian cyst that wasn’t “serious enough for surgery”. So I recovered from prolapsed uterus and forgot about the cyst. In 2018 sharp pains in lower left abdomen prompted a doctor examination. Further tests revealed ovarian cancer 3c. Connection? I don’t know. But I would tell my friends it to ignore ovarian cysts.

Cysts on ovaries are pretty common. If they persist and are mixed fluid/solid they may be something more serious like ovarian cancer. You might want to read more about ovarian cysts at healthline.com/health/ovari...
