Update on PET scan

Hi everyone,

I posted yesterday about my dad having a PET scan today. His last pet scan in July showed some progression to the right chest wall after being NED for a full year. They wanted to keep him on his current meds- Ibrance and Letrozole- and re-scan today, in september.

Results have already been posted and it shows "mild progression of disease to right chest wall, and internal mammary regions." "New FDG uptake in left acetabulum." From July his SUV's went to 6.3 from 5.6, 3.6 from 2.3, and another shows 1.6. The left acetabulum did not "light up" in his July PET scan. Not sure what this will mean moving forward.

Not to worry. There are plenty of other medicines he can try. The fact that it is a mild progression is good!
