I took it a few years ago. Each brand has a different delivery system. I could only tolerate TEVA brand. It was made in Israel. The other was China. Just got off Piqray. Wicked but kept my numbers down. Waiting to hear what my next treatment plan will be. Had lumpectomy in 2010. MBC in 2017. Only 1% get it. Lucky me. Best to you. Reenie

I am having a rough time on anastrozole. I tried the brand name, Arimidex, but it was no better so I went back on the generic. How did you find Teva? Was it expensive? How many did you try before you found Teva? I am on Brenckenridge. All the info on it is just about anastrozole. I didn't realize they had different delivery systems. Turns out Brenckenridge is part of Towa, a Japanese company.

I had lumpectomy in 2008, mbc in 2019. I thought it was 30% of people with primary breast cancer who get metastatic. Or do you mean 1% of all women?

Thanks for your reply. For Teva brand, ask your pharmacy if they can get the brand, if not , I called around and found a supply and had my prescription transferred.

When I finished my first line of treatment after my lumpectomy in January 2010, I was told the recurrence rate of my cancer was almost zero. Yet six years ago I developed MBC. I had a 1% chance and as my oncologist said “you are the 1%”.

I have been on many lines of treatment. Recently Piqray which is very hard on the body. Constant diarrhea and diabetes

I am off all cancer medication as I had an infection, C Dif, brought about by my tooth being removed. I should go on a new line soon as a medication for my cancer and 2 mutations was approved in January and they are getting good results.

We live in a miracle age so let the miracles continue. Reenie

Yes. For about two or three years now. I was on Letrazole, but my hands were suffering so badly, Oncologist swapped me over to Anastrozole. Much bettter now.

yes. Been on it since 2021. Have a few side effects but it works! And I hope it keeps working.

Are you asking about being on anastrozole alone, as opposed to anastrozole and something else? The standard treatment has been a AI like anastrozole plus a CDK4/6 inhibitor, but a recently completed study shows that it is best to start with an AI and add the CDK4/6 later, to get more mileage.

Hi, I am just on a Astrazole, I couldn’t take Ibrance because of side effects

I’m sorry it is anastrozole

That should be fine. They are now recommending anastrozole alone until progression. Maybe then you could try one of the other CDK4/6 inhibitors instead of Ibrance. Kisqali seems to have the least side effects. Or, who knows what will be available? Quite a few new drugs in the pipeline.
