I think it depends on your oncologist and where and how fast the disease progressed. My oncologist wants to switch treatments after 3 months of xeloda because of increased lung and brain mets, but other tumors shrank. I am feeling the same way as you because it feels so soon and my breast feels much better. I switched to xeloda after 6 months of faslodex + ibrance, with lupron added halfway, because of increased progression in the breast, lungs and lymph nodes. It seems that the case for changing treatment is stronger when there's progression in multiple places. I've also read posts on this forum about oncologists who are willing to wait for the next set of scans if there's a little bit of progression. It's tough to change treatments, but for me xeloda is tolerable (of course more so on my off week :( ) and my lungs feel less heavy than they did while on ibrance. I would suggest talking about your concerns with your oncologist and be very clear about the goals you have for quality of life. I shared a list of goals with my oncologist, and it made communication so much easier. Hope this helps, and best of luck!

There is no normal! I changed from faslodex because I found it too hard going after 3 months. I went onto xeloda.. it is certainly one of the next in line.

I have been on faslodex 6 months but my tumour marker blood test is going up. Just had CAT scan and if the report shows widespread progression, I too will change to Xeloda because that would mean the faslodex was not working.
