I am being treated with Fulvestrant injections & Ribociclib medication (21 days of 3 tablets per day & 7 days off). Do others do this combo?
Been my world since March 2019, plus Xgeva ever three months. All good for me. Been NED since about July 2019! Wishing you all good health with both!
Hi,I take 300 mg. of Verzenio everyday and get a Fulvestrant shot once a month. because I've always taken them together I can't distinguish the effects of the Fulvestrant on its own. I'm so glad that you found this site. It has really helped me to know I'm not alone. Sending healing thoughts your way.
Karen, Welcome to this group. You will find the women here a great support as you navigate this disease. I was in shock for the first few months after a de novo diagnosis. I’ve been stable for two years on Letrozole and Ibrance. Be kind to yourself until you settle in to your new normal with new treatments. This group will be with you along the way. Vicki
Thanks for the support. Yes, worried about side effects and whether my body will handle it. I know a tumour on my sternum shrunk after radiation treatment. I have been told the combo I am on will take longer to work.
Hi Karen, I am wondering about radiation as I have Tumor on my sternum.... csn they not hot other important bits in chest? Did it Allie ate pain? Did you wait until there was a lot of pain or did they recommend zapping it while it was small?
It was the first treatment I had. They zapped my sternum and a tumour that I could see and feel disappeared. It was quite small but prominent. It wasn’t painful. I had had more pain in my collarbone. I don’t think I have any cancer pain at the moment.
How lovely! I hoe that happens to me.
I do hope it goes well for you. I had 10 radiation treatment - most twice a day. I started on the Thursday afternoon, then 2 on the Friday. I went home for the weekend and then had 2 sessions Monday, 2 Tuesday, one Wednesday and two on the Thursday. A big hit but my skin was good using aloe vera and a cream called Moo Goo.
Karen This drug is also known as Kisqali. If you use the search button on this forum you will no doubt find more information. They are strong drugs but you are off to a great start. Most of the side effects are manageable and we learn to live with them. I hope you get great results. Vicki
