Hello there, cat scan showed liver metz. Will be starting Afinator. I would like to know your experience

I found it tough, but I know some people have had really good experiences. I will just say to be alert to shortness of breath....I had Mets to the lungs before, but they just got much worse on Afinitor....I was only on it for 2 or 3 months, and wish I had stopped it sooner. But I think I may be an exception. Good luck! I really do think I was an unusual case.

Hi, I’m on Affinitor exestamane and my bones lowered but liver scan showed heat up so do not know how it effects liver yet. Could be just the chemo irritation rash on neck and occasional mouth sore going on

Internally. My bones Mets has gone down

But tumor markers still rising. That’s my experience with 4 mos of affinitor

I have MBC with a single distant liver lesion. I am supposed to be on Letrozole and I Ibrance but chose to just go with Letrozole to start. It has been highly successful and reduced the bugger to a paltry 1 centimetre. I have had a drastic reduction in energy and a fogginess of my brain. The worst of it is that I have internal tremors and increasing numbness of feet and hands. The best of it is, I am alive and appreciating my life so much more. Sorry that I cannot advise you specifically on Afinitor per se but believe that Avinitor and Letrozole are both hormone inhibitors and may both have similar side effects.
