Has anyone started This? I am trying it next week...good or bad side affect..don't know much about this new drug

My doctor was considering putting me on it but I tested negative for the gene, so not an option for me. It will be interesting to see how it works, what side effects most people feel and its effectiveness. I know its pretty new so not sure how many people are actually on it yet. I started taking Piqray 10 days ago. So far the side effects have been pretty minimal, a little nausea (which an organic ginger capsule helps with), a little diarrhea & some fatigue. I’m also getting Faslodex injections & Zometa monthly, which also cause all of these same side effects so I guess there’s no escaping... I’ll just have to be patient until I get used to all the medications. But this is much better than the side effects from Verzenio!!! Also my doc is pretty excited that it already seems to be working because the Ascites I was having issues with went away on its own five days after I started taking Piqray. Hope your side effects are minimal as well!! Good luck🍀

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It's especially helpful with a new medication like this one that many people are just beginning to take. I too have the genetic mutation and may take it in the future. May it work well and long for you!

Thanks! I’m also limiting any sugar since it can raise blood sugar levels. A friend at work who’s diabetic shared some diet info, which is helpful since I wasn’t totally aware of all the things that I should limit. Yes hopefully this new med works well for everyone taking it for a very long time!!😊

Curious if you are still on piqray. Apologies if answered in newer posts. I am really nervous about taking it.
