I found this article on Facebook today. I thought I would try to share it with you.

When first diagnosed I struggled with the same treatment for everyone approach, it just didn't seem to make sense, as I knew some people responded and some didn't, but no one was able to tell me why.

The article discusses how artificial intelligence can be used to process the large amounts of information that currently remain unexamined to find patterns and individualise treatment plans, and also the pitfalls of this.

With the news this week that there are 11 different types of breast cancer and each type follows a different disease progression I think this is another huge step forward in finding effective treatment.

Thank you Sister/warrior for this very important, and informative article on the creation of a world wide data base. This would be so beneficial in saving lives, by pinpointing specific treatments. God bless you for being your sisters keeper.

Thank you 🙂 I think it’s important. In any battle the first step has to be to know your enemy. There is so much information out there which isn’t being used.

I don’t want treatment that is designed for everyone and have to rely on luck that it’s the treatment that will work for me. If i’m Going to poison my body I want to know that the outcome is worth the cost. A few years ago there were no options, treatment was limited, with all the advances there are many more options there for us and knowing they will work for us strengthens are arguement to receive them as it justifies the cost to the providers. I’lol now get off my soapbox! 😊
