Hi everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I tell you I lost my darling partner this week from , lung and brain cancer. He was diagnosed in June 21, and was doing amazingly well, had chemo and immunotherapy for the first 7 months, then it all stopped working, and the cancer overtook his brain. We did a lot of traveling between December up to June of this year and crossed of lots of places on his bucket list, which was fantastic, but from July until now he has been an absolute incredible fighter, his last 10 weeks were hard, I looked after him at home for 8 weeks and the last 2 he was in the hospice, he was my sole mate and made me laugh every day, and I’m missing so much,

Please make the most of every day and do as much as you can together, enjoy being alive and never take it for granted

That is a very difficult message to write but you did it beautifully. My sincere condolences and, as a patient, I take your advice to heart.

I am so sorry to read this. Please accept my sincere condolences. It sounds like you two really made the most of the time you had together despite him having to fight so hard for a portion of it.

Thank you for posting this reminder about the precious moments we have together and for sharing about your soulmate. I hope you are able to hold photos and memories of your bucket list travels and other memories close to your heart during this difficult time.

I also wanted to mention that GO2 has a program called GUIDES in which we match people who have lost a loved one to lung cancer with someone else who has also lost someone for support. Feel free to message me if you are interested to talking more about this type of support.
