I have seen numerous doctors etc and they all tell me different things as to what is wrong with me - so I then do my own research and take control rather than sit around like a limp lettuce carrying on letting them make guesses and mistakes. I now wonder if I have sarcoidosis. Has anyone else here had to consider that after thinking they had asthma or some other illness instead, and what happened please?
Hello everyone, new to group: I have seen... - SarcoidosisUK
Hello everyone, new to group
hey! So I’m actually in the process of getting testing for cardiac sarcoidosis due to the fact I have arrhythmia and a recent ctscan that showed markers of mild sarcoidosis and a history of significant lung issues. Have you had any xrays or ctscans? What makes you think you may have sarcoidosis?
I also don’t know if this group is really active which is kind of disappointing.
Sarcoidosis diagnosis is usually confirmed by a biopsy that find granuloma cells in your lymph nodes.
There is some great information about symptoms at sarcoidosisuk.org/informati...
It can look a bit like arthritis or diabetes or some other conditions, but it is often associated with tiredness.
Lungs often affected, so chest xray can spot signs. Skin often affected. Eyes often affected,
and other organs can be too,
I hope that this is helpful.
