Hey guys, many may have seen my posts around my ongoing battle after coming off DAs and pregabalin not potentially working.

Ive know been diagnosed with the heart condition AF which is believe may be triggered by stress. Ive been in A+E for 9 hours and now been sent home with a script for bisoprolol at 1.25mg in which im worried will make my already very bad RLS even worse, this obviously makes me more stressed as i need heart meds but also dont want to trigger my legs worse so wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with these combinations of meds please 🙏🏻

It is a beta blocker and does make RLS worse for most. I would suggest propranolol (Inderal, Hemangeol, InnoPran) which is a beta blocker but is safe for RLS. Also clonidine which can actually help RLS. Discuss these with your doctor.

Ive decided to give it a try to try to get my heart rate back to normal short term but will ask my Dr about the rest.

He has now also prescribed me Sevodyne 5mg patches which im hoping now will work. He has said to stay on the pregbalin but reduce slowly by 75mg from 600.

Be aware that the patch says it lasts 7 days but runs out around 5 days. Don't take the codeine with it as it is a waste since the buprenorphine blacks other opioids from working.

Reducing the pregabalin by 75 mg may give you withdrawal symptoms

I asked around withdrawing but he said as expected it would be fine, as we all know especially after my ride coming off DAs they can be so wrong, mine are 75 caps i have scales so can empty out what would you recommend coming down and or isn't worth staying on alongside?

reduce by 25 mg every 2 weeks.

Hiya Andy. I was in Hospital for 10 days with AF. I was on 15 mg of Bisoprolol Beta Blockers and on 300mg Pregabalin at the same time, no probs. 1.25 mg is a tiny amount. 6 months later I’m now only on 300mg Pregabalin for RLS. My AF came from Dehydration and Stress. I believe Stress makes my RLS worse also. And, don’t laugh, a Full Moon! Goid Luck and Best Wishes. Jeremy.
