RLS and GLP 1 medication

Hi Community

I have started Mounjaro for weight loss and almost immediately my old friend RLS is back. The two are most definitely linked but I’m wondering if anyone from this community may know why.

There are no listed interactions between the two but I have heard that because GLP meds slow digestion, this could affect how Pregablin or Gabapentin is absorbed into the body.

I am on a ver low dose of pregablin only 75mg so increasing dose may be a sensible option but wondered if anyone else is in this boat???

It affects electrolyte balance so you may want to increase magnesium and potassium. Let us know if this works.

Thank you as always, Sue.

You pharmacist has suggested taking pregabalin earlier in the evening and increasing dose but I will add this too
