Yes.

Gaviscon plus is better ,I believe. But may not be available in some areas.

In the UK Gaviscon Original, Double Action and Advance (this latter being probably the most effective against reflux) are all sugar free and RLS safe unless you're particularly sensitive to saccharin. Gaviscon Natura is OK too, but it does contain sugar and it doesn't contain alginates which is likely to make it less effective against reflux than the others. Gaviscon Guardium however contains Esomeprazole which can be a trigger for RLS and should therefore be avoided.

You want Gaviscon ADVANCE. Chris is correct.

No I don’t think there is any in the UK that doesn’t have aspartame and you REALLY don’t want that. The inactive ingredients are not listed very clearly so don’t get them mistaken for the active ingredients in big letters! I use Rennie, it’s safe for me. Sugar is not that bad for me in such small quantities, I’ll have it over artificial sweeteners any day.

Gaviscon Advance doesn't have aspartame nor any sugar substitute nor sugar.

I looked into this and there was no Gaviscon Advance without artificial sweeteners in the UK. The problem is that they hide the long list of inactive ingredients so you really have to dig. There is no such thing as sugar free that doesn’t have sweetener.

SODIUM SACCHARIN is in the list of ingredients, I’m trying to add an image here but not succeeding.

You're right - I found it myself before I saw your answer. And the tablets contain Aspartame another artificial sweetener.

Good, I don’t know how many times I’ve tried to say this on here and EVERY TIME I get ignored and told Gaviscon is safe, when IT IS NOT.

And even in principle I wouldn’t buy anything from a company that hides vital information like they do.

It's safe unless one reacts to artificial sweeteners.

Oh come on, you’re always saying it doesn’t contain sweetener, plus sweeteners aren’t safe for anyone, you should know that. Though I guess you eat tons of that stuff in the US. By all means, poison yourselves with sweeteners if you want to.

Yes I use Gaviscon Advance for severe Gerd with no RLS symptoms.

SODIUM SACCHARIN is an artificial sweetener, please read the leaflet for INACTIVE INGREDIENTS > phx-gaviscon-uk.prod.gcp-hu...
