Does anyone use a Lumie for RLS ? I had it bought by my daughter who thought I was depressed and suffering SAD it's been in a cupboard ever since but my insomnia has got so bad I'm at rock bottom with lack of sleep I think it's my RLS that's stopping me sleeping but I could be wrong so I've dug the Lumie out of the cupboard but no idea how or when to use it can anyone help? I've another appointment with gp on Friday but not holding my breath about my RLS currently on 200 mg pregabalin and 90 mg codeen

Regular gaviscon can make RLS worse. Gaviscon Advance doesn't.

That Lumie Lamp can definitely help with insomnia by resetting your circadian rhythm. I use full spectrum bulbs to mimic sunlight especially during winter. Use the timestamp in the video to access the information you need. hubermanlab.com/episode/sle...

My husband had SAD and uses a Lumie-like lamp. He has been instructed by the sleep department of the local university hospital.

I don’t know all the details. But you have to use the lamp 45min before/around sunrise. It has to be at the correct distance from your face (look at the instructions on the leaflet). And you have to look repeatedly into the lamp for a short time. Here is where my knowledge fails. I don’t k ow how you you have to look directly into the light, and how often. Shall ask my husband. Remind me if I forget.

thank you I would be interested to see how he went on

The combination of SAD and RLS is not very nice especially at this time of year with very little sunshine
