I can only talk about pills. No stomach cramps for me.

The British National Formulary lists 'gastrointestinal discomfort' as one of the common or very common side effects of transdermal buprenorphine.If you've only just started on the patches it may ease as your body gets used to the drug: if not, you might see if your doctor can transfer you on to the pills.
