Hi, first, thanks for the opportunity to join this group and to HelthUnlocked. I just joined some days ago. I'v been suffering from RLS for the last 10 years more or less. But I guess it has intensified in the last 3 years, mainly because (in my opinion) of stress from my job, which after Covid, it has been very tough. I started taking gabapentin years ago and did well, but after some years it stop working. Then I started taking Sifrol (medical advise) and I don't feel it is helping me. What would you suggest? Sifrol is no longer 1st line treatment because it causes drug-induced worsening for everyone. Simply a matter of time.

You need to get off Sifrol very slowly, by half a 0.125mg pill every 2 weeks.

You say gabapentin stopped working. How did you take it? It has to be taken at night only, in split dodes of 600mg, 2 hours apart.

The next line of treatment is to get serum ferritin above 100ųg/L by pills/infusions or a long half life opioid, like methadone or Buprenorphine.

Also to avoid magnesium in any form within 2 hrs of Gabapentin. {Just my tuppence wort!)

Sifrol is Pramipexol for the rest of us!🤪
