Made it to the finish line!!! I'm officially off the Pramaprexole, thanks to Jools and Sue!

With the help of Jools and Sue on this amazing blog, I have successfully weaned myself OFF of 18 years on Pramaprexole!

I took my time, 2 months or more, filing off tiny shavings of the pill using an emery board of all things! This was a scary thing as most of us are addicted and worry about supply issues.

I started 200 MG of gabapentin a week ago, using up to 300 MG when the RLS started around 11:00 pm. I actually slept, not well, through the withdrawal symptoms at night.

Three nights ago I took my last dose of pramaprexole, which was just a little powder left from the residual from the file! The first night, symptoms were mild for most of the night. Night two, I was miserable all night (300 MG of gabapentin that night), and last night, NO SYMPTOMS on 300 MG of gabapentin!!!

The amazing thing is when I started the weaning off period, I felt better immediately! I had no symptoms while driving, I could actually take a nap without symptoms, and have a massage...all without my feet bothering me!

My plan is to get to either no gaba, or 100 mg.

I want to thank Jools and Sue for their tireless research and the help that they offer on this blog. You are changing lives!

Huge well done I've been of Ropinerole around 3 months now and on 1200mg gabapentin and so pleased, would love to know how after all those years your only on 300mg as that wouldn't even work for me, I too would love not to have to take any but can't see that happening sadly. Again huge well done x

Not sure. I pass out with 300 mg. I would be in a coma with 1200
