been to the doctors today I’m on gabapentin, having terrible side effects, I have been in 2 tablets 3 times daily over the past couple of weeks I have reduced it down be 3 tablets doctor said the dosage is too high so he is going to start me on Pragabalin, does anyone no the normal dosage for this medication , and how do people get on with this medication and side effects.

Pregabalin is basically the same drug as gabapentin except you don't need to divide the dosage but can take it all at one time 1 to 2 hours before bed. To avoid withdrawal effects I would suggest switching to the equivalent amount which is the gabapentin amount divided by 6. And then if your doctor wants you to take less you can reduce by 25 mg every 2 weeks.
