I’m writing to say that I am now completely off the dreaded ropinirole. I began decreasing my dose back in February and it has been a pretty tortuous process where after working in the morning I was pacing around afternoon, evening and nighttime even sometimes having to eat standing up. However I would encourage anyone else who is on this dreadful drug to do the same. Come off it. It will be hard but it will be worth it. I am now on pregabalin with at the moment no side effects. I can now put my feet up in the afternoon, sit and watch TV or read in the evening and most nights still get a reasonable nights sleep. Many thanks to all that gave me help in particular Sue Johnson. Good luck to all of you that suffer from RLS and again I would encourage you to dismiss ropinirole and any of the other drugs that cause augmentation.

Congrats! Reiterating what you just said here, it’s a very difficult process, but the rewards are amazing. After tapering off ropinirol , I was blown away by how much less my symptoms were and now so much more manageable now with oxycodone low dose. How to spread this word before people get on it is the challenge. Spread the word!

Excellent! I'm delighted for you. Hopefully one day, they'll ban these drugs & treat iron deficiency first, before our dopamine receptors are permanently damaged by Ropinirole or Pramipexole.
