Weezie99, About 5 years ago my RLS began to keep me from sleeping so I took Dramamine for several nights before I could see my neurologist. By the time I saw her I had not slept for several nights. She told me that dramamine, decongestants and low iron/anemia would make RLS worse. I also remember seeing an article to that effect. I will look for the article and let you know what it says when I find it. I hope this helps. BarnGir1

On second thought - not thinking clearly - dramamine can make RLS worse. It blocks the dopamine receptors in the brain. helpguide.org/articles/slee....

TTI found this very recent study. Interesting! Dramamine and Restless leg syndrome - a phase IV clinical study of FDA data

Summary:

Restless leg syndrome is reported only by a few people who take Dramamine.

The phase IV clinical study analyzes which people take Dramamine and have Restless leg syndrome. It is created by eHealthMe based on reports of 944 people who have side effects while taking Dramamine from the FDA, and is updated regularly.

Phase IV trials are used to detect adverse drug outcomes and monitor drug effectiveness in the real world. With medical big data and AI algorithms, eHealthMe is running millions of phase IV trials and makes the results available to the public. Our original studies have been referenced on 600+ medical publications including The Lancet, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, and Nature.
