Candesartan for high BP

Has anyone taken Candesartan for high BP? I've recently taken Doxazosin, and Peridropil, both of which made RL much worse. My GP has prescribed this to start today. I'm hoping for better luck with this.

Hi Pennygates - Sorry to hear of your difficulties with medication. I was put on Irbesartan in June and it does not seem to affect my RLS. I am lucky enough to be on the lowest dose of 75 mg. daily at present. I imagine your Candesartan is in the same family as my Irbesartan so hopefully this will be good for you. Good Luck

Hi Jelbea,How we all dread new medications, wondering if they will trigger RL. This is now my 6th new BP medication. All the rest triggered my legs very badly. Getting desperate now as my BP is so high, and the GP is concerned.

It's good that Ibersartan is not troubling you. It must have been a relief, as we can't always control BP ourselves, however we modify our lifestyle.

According to Elffindoe it is known to make RLS worse.
