It's debatable. Some say yes, some say no. But more lean towards not.

Corticosteroids such as prednisone and prednisolone have been reported to both help and hinder RLS by different sources!

I assume you are taking taking Prednisone is to decrease inflammation. Inflammation is probably also the cause of your RLS. The solution is not to cause the inflammation in the first place then you won't need to take Prednisone and you won't have RLS. The inflammation is most probably caused by the food that you're eating. Foods which cause a rise in blood sugar like refined sugars and starches especially combined with gluten which cause the rise to become a spike will cause inflammation especially foods made with white flour. Other things which are a common cause of inflammation are refined seed oils like canola and sunflower oils.

Thanks Eryl for your response. Actually I take pred for copd flare-ups along with an antibiotic. Something I have to do, unfortunately.

COPD is a problem of inflammation of the bronchial tubes

Yes and is the underlying cause of many things. My rls started getting out of control about a year ago. Taking same meds for years, trying to figure out why the sudden augmentation. Just getting old and sicker,I guess.

You discuss inflammatory foods! Can I ask what they are? Would going on a gluton free diet help with RLS

Look at my first reply and avoiding gluten will help as gluten causes leaky gut which speeds up the absorption of the refined sugars and starches which are two of the causes of the inflammation.

I had injections, so I really don’t know

I've had them as well. Usually pretty high dosage.

I have been on prednisone for acute systemic inflammation, typically poison ivy or insect sting. It works wonders in the short-term; no RLS impact for me.
