Hi. I have hypermobility of my joints with bruising and joint damage and some dislocations and no other illnesss of injuries . Are there any other RLS sufferers out there who feel their RLS is aggravated or associated with their hypermobility ?

Hypermobility association ?
Hi there Kakally. Thank also have hyper mobility in my joints and severe RLS but have never connected the two. Would be interesting to know how many others have the same? Take care T
Hi Kakally. I also have hypermobility in some joints (shoulders, wrists, fingers, and at least one knee) and have major joint problems-both shoulders are chronically dislocated and one hip is also slightly always out of socket. I also have arthritis in the shoulders, hips, back, knees, and feet. But I have never associated anything other than my arthritic spine with RLS. I was of the opinion inflexibility might contribute to RLS (since stretching of my back and legs offers relief), which seems to be the opposite of hypermobility. But maybe ligament or tendon injures due to joint hypermobility could contribute to the problem by exciting the nerves? It’s hard to know. The way RLS presents is so individual that I believe your intuition about what is problematic for you, personally, is worth more than any one else’s theory. Best of luck to you.
