Does anyone find rls is almost seasonal. When it's warm and sunny mine gets much worse. My ankles swell up in the heat which I don't think helps

Summer is much worse
Yes I think you're right.
I agree. No idea why.
Yes - I have had a few miserable nights with my RLS in the current heat wave in Ireland.
Strangely enough I think the opposite as the lighter evenings mean you are more active so delay the onset of symptoms. Getting dark at 15:30 is the worst.
My RLS is equally bad summer and winter
Yes I think the heat is making the RLS worse for me too.
The seasons make no difference for me here in Tasmania.
I can’t tell any real difference. If anything the RLS seems slightly better but that may be because getting up in the night is less uncomfortable because you don’t get cold.
The best way to treat hot weather worsening the condition is to keep them as cool as possible. I don't wear socks or shoes indoors. I use a pet cooling pad to put my feet on. I top it up by putting it in the fridge. It's bliss. I keep a bowl of cold water in the bathroom so i can go for a paddle when I need. As the evening comes my feet are burning so I soak them in ice water for an hour before bed. I keep my feet uncovered during the night. I fill an old milk container with water and freeze it then I put that on a towel in bed between my feet. As my feet get warm I just cradle the ice container with my feet. If I don't do all this my already swollen ankles and feet get worse and the RLS comes on and is awful. If you have to go to work and wesr shoes....wear sandals and spray your feet with cold water as often as possible. Hope this helps.
You dose when heated and after meaml. Drowsiness is what increases RLS. I Know!
Wish it was seasonal then at least I'd have a season to look forward to but alas it is every day and night all year around
Right now, I feel certain the heat is making it worse. I have a horrible feeling I could look back over posts I have made and find myself posting during winter saying it's worse in the cold
