I'm afraid it can do, yes.

It varies between individuals, I've been taking it years without any weight problem.

If it's a problem for you, you could try switching to pregabalin.

Hi! You posed an interesting question however to the best of my knowledge this medication does not cause significant weight gain. I have been taking Gabapentin for several years and have not gained any weight from it. ( Believe me, I’m 6’0” & weigh roughly 110 on a good day.) However, as with any questions you might have, it is always best to ask your prescribing physician. 😘

Weight gain is a listed side effect but it only affects some people. In my case it has increased my appetite so I eat more. I think I have it under control after gaining 10 pounds but it sucks being hungry all of the time.
