I have been ropinerole for 4 yrs and I notice there I a constant odor I detect almost like it is right in my sinuses. Other odors are not as powerful as they used to be but I can still tell if I need a shower.

I used to take a dopamine agonist (DA) and started noticing that everwhere I went, an odour followed me. Idiot that I am, it took me ages to work out it was me!

After that I started having a shower at least once a week, whether I needed it or not.

About 18 months ago I stopped taking the DA, it was causing me augmentation and insomnia which is very common with DAs such as ropinirole.

Funnily my sense of smell changed then, not so sensitive and I have to rely on my wife giving me hints.

Unfortunately, I think her sense of smell is not so good. She never says anything.

She does swear at me in Russian though, almost daily. Sometimes she says "ты воняешь" and occasionally "какой этот запах".

I think I need to get those translated!

Oh?

ты воняешь = "You stink."

какой этот запах = "What's that smell?"

My sense of smell is perfect, and I like to have all day long a pleasing scent in my house. For a few months now, I've been using a marijuana odor spray amazon.com/dp/B08FMT45YS, which helps remove all other unpleasant smells. It's something helpful to have in the house. You can use it on body odor, urine, pet odors, etc. I think it's also supposed to be quite effective against all types of smoking odors, like marijuana, cigars, cigarettes. Spraying just a little should be enough, so it's also an economic investment. Give it a try.
